A love of wood, the maker’s hand
Atelier du Noyer is the story of a Lyon cabinetmaker who, since 2003, has built furniture and fit-outs by hand. Here, every board is chosen one by one, the wood is worked the old way, and every joint is designed to last for generations.
From the first sketch to installation in your home, we keep control of the whole chain. You leave with a one-of-a-kind piece, made for your space and signed by a local hand.

From sketch to installation, in four acts
Every project follows the same path, handled end to end by the workshop — nothing is subcontracted.

Study & visit
We come to measure, understand your space and how you live in it. We sketch the piece together and pick the wood species.
- 02
Plan & quote
Dimensioned drawings, finish choices and a detailed quote. You approve every detail before a single board is cut.
- 03
Built in the workshop
Cutting, mortise-and-tenon joinery, sanding and finishing by hand, in our Lyon workshop.
- 04
Installation & finishing
We deliver and install the piece in your home, adjusted to the millimetre, then apply the final finishes on site.

Before you start your project
Do you only work with solid wood?
Solid wood is our core craft, but we also combine fine panels, veneers and complementary materials depending on the piece and your budget.
Do you handle the visit and measurements?
Yes, we travel across Lyon and the surrounding area to take measurements, understand your space and refine the project before any quote.
What are the lead times?
Generally between 4 and 10 weeks depending on the scale of the work. As each piece is handmade, we set the schedule together at the time of order.
Is your work guaranteed?
Yes, our fit-outs come with a 10-year warranty. Traditional joinery and careful finishes ensure a lifespan well beyond that.
